How To Change Your Password in Ubuntu

Step 1. Press the super key or click on the Dash icon
Step 2. Type User Accounts and press enter
Step 3. Select your user by clicking on your name
Step 4. Click the "Unlock" button in the upper right hand corner
Step 5. Enter your current password and click "Authenticate"
Step 6. Now that User Accounts have been unlocked for changes we can change any account setting we choose.
Step 7. To change the password click on the password disguised as dots.
Step 8. The change password dialog appears. Enter your current password, new password in the appropriate fields and click on "Change"
